Contractors · hosting and care

Website hosting for contractors who cannot babysit WordPress.

A contractor site earns its keep when the quote form works and the service area is current. Managed hosting from $99 a month covers updates, backups, monitoring, and those small edits. It does not replace Jobber.

Storm week is when the site matters and when nobody in the truck can deal with a white screen. The usual site was built once, then left on a cheap host with twenty plugins.

From $99/mo. Essentials is $99, Business $249, Priority $499. Cancel any time. Extra time is $125/hour.

What breaks

The form dies quietly

You find out from a homeowner who says they already filled it in. The leads were never emailed.

Service area pages lie

You stopped driving to a county, or you added a new one. The page still sells the old map.

Plugin updates on a job site

Nobody is going to update WordPress from a driveway. So it never happens, until the host suspends the account.

What the monthly plan does

  1. Part 1

    Keeps the lead page up

Updates, backups, HTTPS, and uptime checks. If it goes down, that is my problem, not the office manager's.

  2. Part 2

    Edits between jobs

A new city, a photo from a finished job, a seasonal line. Essentials includes 30 minutes. Bigger pages are quoted.

  3. Part 3

    Leaves the ops tools alone

Scheduling and invoices stay in Jobber, Housecall Pro, or whatever you already run. Hosting is the public site.

Who this fits

HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, and similar crews with one marketing site and a separate system for jobs.

Questions

Will you write a page for every city I serve?

No. A pile of identical city pages is thin content and I will not publish it. Real service-area pages, a few of them, can be an edit or a small project.

What happens if the site is hacked?

Restore from the backup is included. Cleaning a site that was neglected for years can exceed the monthly minutes, and I will say so before billing extra at $125 an hour.

Is $99 enough in storm season?

For care and small edits, yes. A landing page for a new service is a separate, small piece of work if it does not fit in 30 minutes.
