What is a Business MCP? Shop language, not API talk
A Business MCP is how customers book, pay, contact, and schedule from ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok — $3,500–$14,000 once. Not another Discord bot.
Customers already ask ChatGPT who to hire. That conversation is no longer scarce. What is scarce is finishing the job — book, pay, contact, schedule — without a form or a callback.
If you have been quoted another Telegram, Discord, or Slack bot in 2026, you were sold last year’s front door. Those bots still exist in my catalog. They are no longer the first build.
Short answer: A Business MCP is the connection from ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok into Jobber, HubSpot, Follow Up Boss, Housecall Pro, Google Calendar, or checkout. Customers book and pay from the AI they already use. Look Up is $3,500 once. Desk is $7,500. Floor is $14,000. The website still wins the stranger. The phone line still rings.
What is a Business MCP?
Forget the letters. Think of a new hire on their first Monday.
You do not hand them every key on the ring. You say: here is the job board. You may look. You may write a note. You may hold a Tuesday slot if the rules match. You may not refund a card, delete a customer, or invent a price.
That list of yes and no is the product. In the industry it is called an MCP. In the shop it is a badge.
You keep talking to Grok, Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor. You do not learn a new app. The AI finally sees the live record instead of last week’s export.
Why the chat bots got obsolete
For two years the honest workaround was a private bot in Telegram or Discord. It sat on a small server. You messaged it from the phone. It drafted. Sometimes it wrote a sheet.
Then the front doors shipped: Grok Bot, Muse, Claude’s connectors, ChatGPT’s agents. They already live where you type. Selling you a fourth chat window is a worse product.
What those teammates still cannot do, out of the box, is open your Jobber with your rules. Computer use can click around a vendor site. That is slow, brittle, and a bad way to book a truck. A doorway is the adult version.
I still build Telegram and Discord when the room itself is the product — a paid community, a studio server, a phone console you refuse to leave. That is catalog. It is not the strategy.
The three prices, in owner language
Look Up · $3,500 once. One system. The AI can answer “who is on the truck Tuesday?” and draft the note. You still click the write. Right first spend if you are tired of CSVs in ChatGPT.
Desk · $7,500 once. Two systems that pass work. A lead lands, a note is written, a slot is held. Money, refunds, and cancellations wait in an approval queue. This is the default for a service shop. It includes the first handoff to Grok Bot, Claude, or ChatGPT.
Floor · $14,000 once. Up to five systems, staff permissions, a shared review queue, a written ops manual. For the shop where more than one person will hold the same badge.
After launch you pay the VPS in your account (~$15–$40/month) and whatever you already pay Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, or Cursor. There is no required retainer to me. Optional Operator Care exists if you want me watching it.

What it will not do
It will not pick up the business phone. That is the AI receptionist — $8,000 once on your number.
It will not make a rented landing page convert. Pretty AI on a weak site burns ads. Quote the website first if strangers bounce.
It will not become a second CRM. Your system of record stays the truth. The doorway reads and, when you allow it, writes. It does not hoard customers in a chat history.
The sequence I sell now
- Site — the stranger decides here.
- Phone — missed calls still leak money.
- Badge — connect the first system. Look Up first. Writes stay off until you watch drafts.
- Teammate — Grok Bot, Muse, Claude, or ChatGPT uses the badge.
- Chat room — only if that room is the product.
If you want the map for your shop — which system first, which writes stay human — send the short audit. I reply within 24 hours.
FAQ
What is an MCP in normal words?
A badge, not a bot. The AI you already pay for is the new hire. An MCP is the set of keys: which drawer they can open, which forms they can fill, and which safe they cannot touch.
How much does a Business MCP cost?
Look Up $3,500, Desk $7,500, Floor $14,000, one time. The doorway is yours. Provider seats stay on your card.
Does this replace Grok Bot or Muse?
No. Those are the teammates. This is what they were missing.
Do I need to understand APIs?
No. You already know the job. I wire the doorway.
FAQ
What is an MCP in normal words? +
It is how a customer talks to your business from ChatGPT, Claude, or Grok. Those apps can recommend you. An MCP is what lets someone book, pay, contact, or schedule — with rules for what a stranger may do.
How much does a Business MCP cost? +
Look Up is $3,500 once for one system and drafts only. Desk is $7,500 once for two systems with approved writes. Floor is $14,000 once for up to five systems and staff permissions. A small VPS in your account runs about $15–$40/month. I do not take a required retainer.
Does this replace Grok Bot or Muse? +
No. Those are the teammates. This is what they were missing. Without a doorway they guess, scrape screens, or wait for you to paste. I do not resell Grok or Cursor seats.
Do I need to understand APIs? +
No. You already know the job: show tomorrow’s jobs, log this lead, book Tuesday at 10. I wire the doorway and write the rule sheet. After the walkthrough you ask in plain language.
