Xero already knows who is late. The aging report is under Reporting. The question is whether you still open it, or whether you can ask from the AI app you already have open.
Short answer: Xero overdue invoices from Claude means you ask which invoices are past due and who owes them, with Xero still the books. AI Front Door Look Up is $3,500 once. You own the connection. I do not add a subscription. Xero’s Claude connector already answers that for free inside Claude. If that is enough, do not pay me. The same setup I build works in ChatGPT, Grok, and other AI apps that support MCP connectors.
MCP is the open standard those apps use to connect to a business’s tools. One connection to Xero. Not a second set of books.
What are Xero overdue invoices from Claude?
Xero overdue invoices from Claude are a read of who still owes you, aged by due date, with Xero as the record. Xero’s connector inside Claude already exposes aged receivables. Look Up is the same question, scoped, from the AI app you actually use.
Xero says you ask “Who owes me money?” and see overdue invoices and top customers (Xero). The connector is free to add. You still pay for Xero, and you need a Claude account. It is read-only. Claude cannot edit an invoice or post a transaction. You choose the organization. Chat data is not used to train models, and it is not kept after the session.
The directory, added April 2026, lists get_aged_receivables and get_invoices, plus profit and loss, cash, bank lines, and the chart of accounts (Claude). That is the whole file. Staff do not get a narrower login from it.
By hand, open the Accounts Receivable Aging Summary (Aged Receivables Summary outside the US). The total includes outstanding invoices, credit notes, and overpayments as of the report date, even if they were paid later. Multicurrency shows in your base currency (Xero Central). A repeating template is not that total until Xero raises an approved invoice. You need an administrator, standard plus reports, sales and purchases, sales, or viewer role to open it.
A pasted export is not this. That fork is MCP vs chat bots.
Questions this should answer:
- “Who owes me money over 30 days?”
- “What is the total past due, and which customer is the largest?”
- “Is that balance an open invoice, a credit note, or an overpayment?”
How much do Xero overdue invoices from Claude cost?
Look Up is $3,500 once for one system, read-only. Desk is $7,500 once if a customer should see only their own balance. Floor is $14,000 once when the crew shares it. Thirty-six months later my bill is still that number. Your Xero subscription stays yours.

Look Up is the owner question only. The same question on QuickBooks is a different file: QuickBooks overdue from Claude. A customer who should pay in the thread is Desk, $7,500 once. This list does not charge a card.
What does the overdue question look like?
The trigger is an owner or a named staffer asking who is past due. The action is a read of aged receivables, filtered to invoices past the due date. Xero is the record. A dispute, a write-off, or a reminder that should actually go out waits for a person.
- Trigger. “Who owes me money over 30 days?” The same sentence works from ChatGPT or Grok.
- Action. Read aged receivables for the organization you named. Age by due date. Drop Current. Return contact, invoice, due date, bucket, and amount. The first week, you check the draft against the report.
- System of record. Xero. Not the chat, and not a Monday export.
- Human escalation. A credit note you did not expect. A payment after the report date. A write-off. Anything that sends or records money. If the chat total and the aging summary disagree, I fix the filter. I do not average them.
A reminder on a schedule is Workflow Automation: $3,500 once, live in 7 to 10 days. It does not answer a customer from an AI app. Xero can already email reminders and stop when the bank feed matches (Xero Central). If those already go out, do not buy a second chase. A missed call is the receptionist at $8,000 once.
What would I turn on first?
Start read-only, and only the past-due list for one organization. Do not turn on anything that creates an invoice, sends mail, or posts a payment. If Xero’s Claude connector already returns the same names and amounts, stop there and do not pay for a second copy.
Checklist before I take the build:
- An admin connects the organization you named. No password in a chat.
- “Overdue” is written down: age by due date, and name the columns. One morning, the list matches the aging summary, credits included, in base currency.
- Staff who may ask are named. Sends, write-offs, and new invoices stay off.
First lane: “Who is past due, what do they owe, and which invoice is the oldest?” You click. After ten mornings where the list matches the report, I stop. A second organization is a second $3,500.
When this isn’t the right move yet
Skip it if Xero’s Claude connector already answers the question, if you are aging by invoice date and calling it overdue, or if the leak is the reminder, the phone, or a customer who should pay. A second login on a report you do not trust copies the wrong total.
Wait if:
- You are the only person asking, and you already sit in Claude. Add Xero’s connector. It is free to add. $0 to me.
- You have not named which Xero organization is the source. A second file is a second price.
- The reminder never goes out, and Xero’s own reminder is still off. Turn that on before you buy a chase.
- A stranger should pay from the thread, or the phone is the leak. Desk or the receptionist. Not this list.
- You want a write-off or a demand letter with no click.
What is not included in the $3,500?
The $3,500 does not include the reminder, a customer payment, the phone line, a bookkeeper, or a security review. Look Up is one system, read-only. I do not add a monthly fee on top. Your Xero subscription stays yours.
Desk is $7,500 once when a customer may see only their own invoices. Floor is $14,000 once when staff share the doorway and should not share your Xero login. A web app security review is $2,400, and $1,200 starts it.
Name the organization, who may ask, and which writes stay off. Send the short audit. It is a short form. I reply with the replacement map within 24 hours. Look Up is $3,500 once if the past-due list is the whole job. If you would rather talk through the workflow and whether it fits, book a 20-minute call.
