Website takeover · you keep ownership

Your web developer disappeared. Your website doesn't have to.

The person who built the site stopped answering, and now nobody can change the hours, fix the form or renew anything. We take the site over, put it on hosting we look after (or look after it where it is), and handle changes by email from then on.

Sound familiar?

How a takeover works

1. Find what you own

We start from the domain. If you can get into the domain registrar, we can get the site under control, even if the old developer never answers.

2. Copy and secure it

We copy the site, test it, and lock down the logins so only you and we have access. Moving one standard site is included.

3. Keep it current

Updates, daily backups stored separately, uptime monitoring and security hardening from day one.

4. You email changes

Send requests to michael@michaelheredia.com. Each plan includes monthly time for small changes, then $125/hr, and we ask before going over.

Which plan fits

Business ($249/mo) is the usual fit after a takeover: there's often a backlog of updates, and Business tests them on a staging copy before they go live, with malware cleanup included. Essentials ($99/mo) works for a simple site that rarely changes.

Billed monthly through Stripe. Cancel any time.

Questions

What do you need from me to take over my website?
Access to your domain registrar is the key. If nobody has that login, the registrar's account recovery is the first step. With the domain, we can copy and move the site even without the old developer.
Do I own my website?
You keep full ownership of your domain and content, and you can ask for a complete copy of the site any time.
What if the site is too broken to keep?
Then we tell you. A redesign or rebuild is quoted as a fixed price before any work starts.
What does it cost?
Plans are $99, $249 or $499 a month, cancel any time. Moving one standard site in is included.
