Book a Mindbody class from ChatGPT for $7,500 once

Book a Mindbody class from ChatGPT for $7,500 once. You own the doorway. Mindbody stays the class book. No monthly fee to me. Same path in Claude and Grok.

Cool-neutral overcast on a white millwork studio counter, with blank kraft class tokens, a coiled yoga strap, and a brass handbell in an empty cubby, to book a Mindbody class from ChatGPT.

A studio owner in Austin forwarded a Thursday thread. ChatGPT had named her 6pm vinyasa, the drop-in price, and the address. The client asked to book. The thread died on a Mindbody link. She booked the studio that held the spot inside the chat.

Mindbody already had the class. The client never left ChatGPT.

Short answer: You can book a Mindbody class from ChatGPT when AI Front Door reads live class capacity, holds a spot under your rules, and writes the visit in Mindbody. Desk is $7,500 once. You own the doorway. I do not add a subscription. The same setup works in Claude, Grok, and other AI apps that support MCP connectors. Mindbody stays the schedule.

MCP is the open standard those apps use to connect to a business’s tools. One connection to Mindbody. Not a second class roster.

Can you book a Mindbody class from ChatGPT?

Not for a client, out of the box. Mindbody’s site, widget, and app book people who open them. Their Public API can add someone to a class after a staff token and a capacity check. Neither one is a public desk inside ChatGPT, Claude, or Grok.

Mindbody’s U.S. plans start at $79 a month per location, with self-serve booking and a listing in the Mindbody app (Mindbody pricing). That door is right for someone who meant to use it. Accelerate and Ultimate are quoted. Their pricing write-up says Ultimate adds marketing and AI-powered front desk support inside Mindbody (Mindbody, U.S. pricing). That is their product, not a client finishing the class from Claude or Grok.

Their developer docs list class registration on its own: view the schedule, then add a client to a class (Mindbody API endpoints). The class call says to check capacity first — max spots, how many are booked, and whether the class is available — so you do not book past the room. It uses your API key and a staff token. A client in ChatGPT is not your staff.

Desk is the scoped doorway: read the class, hold one spot if your rules pass, write the visit Mindbody already trusts. The same connection answers from Claude, Grok, and other AI apps that support MCP connectors. A bot that pastes yesterday’s roster is a different product. The fork is MCP vs chat bots.

How much does booking a Mindbody class from ChatGPT cost?

Desk at $7,500 once is the booking default. Look Up at $3,500 only reads which classes still have spots. Mindbody Starter stays $79 per location per month whether or not you buy the doorway. I do not put a per-booking meter on it.

You keep the Mindbody bill. Twenty-four months of Starter is $1,896 per location. Thirty-six months is $2,844. The doorway does not replace the plan.

What does the class booking workflow look like?

The trigger is a client in ChatGPT, Claude, or Grok asking for a class. The connection checks Mindbody capacity, holds a matching spot if the rules pass, writes the visit, and pings you when a new client, a full room, or a missing pack needs a human.

  1. Trigger. “Book Mrs. Lopez into Thursday 6pm vinyasa and send the confirmation.” The same sentence works from Claude or Grok.
  2. Action. Read that class. Match the name, the teacher, the start time, and the spots left. On Desk, hold the spot. Do not sell a new membership and do not charge a new card.
  3. System of record. Mindbody. The class roster the coaches already open.
  4. Human escalation. A full class with the waitlist closed, a new client with no pricing option on file, an intro offer, a late cancel, a freeze, or a refund.

Questions worth wiring:

  • “Which Thursday 6pm classes still have a spot?”
  • “Book Mrs. Lopez into Thursday 6pm vinyasa and text her the Mindbody confirmation.”
  • “Is Saturday 9am reformer full, and is the waitlist open?”
  • “Who is on the 6am class tomorrow, and who is waiting?”
  • “Move my Thursday class to Friday and send the new time.”

“Who is on the 6am tomorrow?” is an owner question. Copying Friday’s no-shows into a reminder email is a different job. That repeating send is Workflow Automation, $3,500 once for one named workflow, live in 7 to 10 days. It does not book a client from an AI app.

What should I turn on first?

One class type, one teacher, writes off for the first week. Do not turn on add-to-class until drafts stop landing on a full room or inventing a class you do not teach.

Checklist before I take the build:

  • Mindbody is the roster the coaches actually open.
  • The rule fits one line: class names, teachers, booking window, waitlist on or off, and which classes a new client may join.
  • A Mindbody admin can grant API access. I start read-only.
  • New packs, refunds, freezes, and late-cancel fees stay a human click until ten drafts are clean.

First lane: “Which Thursday 6pm classes still have a spot?” Read only. You click the roster. After ten clean drafts, Desk holds the spot when Mindbody still shows the class as available.

When this isn’t the right move yet

Skip it if you only want to see your own roster from your own login, the phone rings while you are teaching, or the roster the coaches trust is not Mindbody.

Wait if:

  • You want “who is in the 6am?” from your staff login, and you will click the spot yourself. Do not pay $7,500 for a question Mindbody already answers.
  • The leak is the phone during class, not the chat. That is the gym and studio phone path, the AI Receptionist at $8,000 once. Demo line: +1 (832) 861-0469. This doorway does not pick up the phone.
  • The live book is Vagaro, Mariana Tek, or a paper sign-in, and Mindbody is only the card processor. A stale class books the wrong room.
  • Class names, caps, or the booking window still live in someone’s head.
  • You want the model to comp a class, sell a membership, or discount a waitlist. Those stay human.

A chair on Square is the same shape on a different record: book Square appointments from Claude.

What is not included in the $7,500?

The $7,500 does not include your Mindbody plan, the phone, or a second weekly job. Look Up reads one schedule. Desk books into Mindbody under rules you wrote. No per-class fee to me.

Name the first class and the writes that stay off. Send the short audit. It is a short form. I reply with the replacement map within 24 hours. Desk is $7,500 once if a client should leave with a spot. Look Up is $3,500 if you only want the open classes. If you would rather talk through the workflow and whether it fits, book a 20-minute call.

FAQ

How much does it cost to book a Mindbody class from ChatGPT? +

Desk is $7,500 once so a client can book a Mindbody class from ChatGPT, Claude, or Grok. You own the doorway. I do not add a subscription. Look Up is $3,500 if they only need which classes still have spots. Floor is $14,000 when staff share it. Mindbody's plan stays yours.

Does Mindbody already book a class from ChatGPT? +

Mindbody's site, widget, and app book people who open them. Their Public API can add a client to a class after a staff token and a capacity check. I have not found a Mindbody connector a stranger can use from ChatGPT. That public doorway is Desk, not your staff login.

Should I replace my Mindbody booking page? +

No. The booking page is the right door for someone who meant to open it. Buy the doorway when the client is already in ChatGPT, Claude, or Grok and will not leave for another tab. Keep Mindbody as the class book either way.

What is not included in the $7,500? +

Not your Mindbody plan, not the phone, and not a membership sale. Selling a new pack, a refund, or a freeze stays a human click. Chasing no-shows on a schedule is Workflow Automation at $3,500, a different job. A second system is still a separate Desk.
