Book Square appointments from Claude — $7,500 once

Book Square appointments from Claude for $7,500 once. You own the doorway. Square stays the calendar. No subscription to me. Works in ChatGPT and Grok.

A colorist in Houston told me a client pasted the chat into the intake form. Claude had named the studio, the balayage price, and Thursday at 2. The client asked to book. The thread ended at the Square link. She booked the salon that answered in the chat.

That is the leak. Square already had the chair. The client never left Claude.

Short answer: You can book Square appointments from Claude when AI Front Door reads live Square availability, holds a slot under your rules, and writes the appointment in Square. Desk is $7,500 once. You own the doorway. I do not add a subscription. The same setup works in ChatGPT, Grok, and other AI apps that support MCP connectors. Square stays the calendar.

MCP is the open standard those apps use to connect to a business’s tools. One connection to Square. Not a second appointment book.

Can you book Square appointments from Claude?

Not for a client, out of the box. Square’s booking site books people who open it. Square’s developer MCP lets you sign into your own Square account inside Claude. Neither one holds Thursday at 2 for a stranger who is already in the chat.

Square’s appointments page sells an online booking website, deposits, and processing time so a color can leave a gap. That site is the right door for someone who meant to visit it.

Square also publishes a Model Context Protocol server, in beta. An owner connects Claude, signs into Square, and the chat can call the bookings API. Square says to test in sandbox before production. That is your login. It is not a public desk, and it is not a rule that a new client may book a 90-minute color and may not book a correction.

The client in Claude, ChatGPT, or Grok is not on your staff. Desk is the scoped doorway: read the open windows, hold one if the rules pass, write the appointment Square already trusts.

The fork against a leftover chat bot is MCP vs chat bots. A bot that pastes yesterday’s openings is not a live Square hold.

How much does Square booking from Claude cost?

Desk at $7,500 once is the booking default. Look Up at $3,500 only reads hours. Square Plus stays $49 per location per month whether or not you buy the doorway. I do not put a per-booking meter on it.

Square’s own write-up of the 2025 plan change lists a free tier at no monthly cost, Square Plus at $49 per month per location, and Square Premium at $149 per month per location (Square, December 8, 2025). You keep that plan. The doorway does not replace it.

What does the booking workflow look like?

The trigger is a client in Claude, ChatGPT, or Grok asking for a chair. The connection checks Square, holds a matching window if the rules pass, writes the appointment, and pings you when a new client, a deposit, or a correction needs a human.

  1. Trigger. “Book Mrs. Lopez Thursday at 2, balayage, 90 minutes, with Maya.” The same sentence works from ChatGPT or Grok.
  2. Action. Read Square availability for that stylist and service. Match duration, processing time, and your rules. On Desk, hold the slot. Do not charge a card.
  3. System of record. Square Appointments.
  4. Human escalation. A new client over your dollar cap, a correction or a chemical service you marked do-not-book, a deposit, a refund, or a cancel inside your no-show window.

Questions worth wiring:

  • “What Thursday windows are open for a 90-minute balayage with Maya?”
  • “Book Mrs. Lopez for Thursday at 2 and text her the Square confirmation.”
  • “Is there a 45-minute brow slot tomorrow before noon?”
  • “Who is on the book tomorrow, and which chairs are still open after 4?”
  • “Move my Thursday color to Friday and send the new time.”

“Who is on the book tomorrow?” is an owner question. Ask it on Square’s connector. Copying Friday’s book into a sheet is a different job. That repeating copy is Workflow Automation, $3,500 once for one named workflow, live in 7 to 10 days. It does not book a client from an AI app.

What should I turn on first?

One service, one stylist, writes off for the first week. Do not turn on create-booking until drafts stop landing on a processing gap or inventing a service you do not sell.

Checklist before I take the build:

  • Square is the book the stylists actually open, not a paper column nobody updates.
  • The rule fits one line: named services, durations, processing gaps, and which services a new client may book.
  • A Square admin can grant access. I start read-only.
  • Deposits, refunds, and late-cancel charges stay a human click until you have watched ten clean drafts.

First lane: “What Thursday windows are open for a 90-minute color?” Read only. You click the appointment. After ten clean drafts, Desk holds the slot for services under the cap.

When this isn’t the right move yet

Skip it if you only want to ask your own Square book from your own login, the phone is the leak, or the calendar the stylists actually trust is not Square.

Wait if:

  • You want “who is on Thursday?” from the Claude account tied to your Square login. Use Square’s connector. Do not pay $7,500 for an owner question you can already ask.
  • Evening calls are the leak, not chat. That is salon after-hours booking, the AI Receptionist at $8,000 once. Demo line: +1 (832) 861-0469. This doorway does not pick up the phone.
  • The live book is GlossGenius, Vagaro, or Boulevard, and Square is only the card reader. Connect the book they open. A stale Square calendar books the wrong chair.
  • Services, durations, or processing gaps are still in someone’s head. Write them down before a client can hold a slot.
  • You want the model to refund a card, charge a no-show, or make up a price. Those stay human.

A sales meeting on a CRM is the same shape on a different record. I wrote that as book a HubSpot meeting from ChatGPT.

What is not included in the $7,500?

The $7,500 does not include your Square plan, the phone, or a second weekly job. Look Up reads one system. Desk books into Square under rules you wrote. No per-appointment fee to me.

Name the first Square service and the writes that stay off. Send the short audit. It is a short form. I reply with the replacement map within 24 hours. Desk is $7,500 once if a client should leave with a slot. Look Up is $3,500 if you only want the open hours. If you would rather talk through the workflow and whether it fits, book a 20-minute call.

FAQ

How much does it cost to book Square appointments from Claude? +

Desk is $7,500 once so a client can book a Square appointment from Claude, ChatGPT, or Grok. You own the doorway. I do not add a subscription. Look Up is $3,500 if they only need open hours. Floor is $14,000 when staff share it. Square's own plan stays yours.

Does Square's Claude connector already book appointments? +

Square's developer MCP lets you sign into your Square account inside Claude. It is in beta, and it is your login, not a public desk. A client who is not on your Square staff still needs a scoped doorway. That is Desk, not the developer connector.

Should I replace my Square booking site? +

No. The booking site already lets someone leave the chat and pick a slot. Buy the doorway when the client is already in Claude, ChatGPT, or Grok and will not open another tab. Keep the booking site for people who visit it on purpose.

What is not included in the $7,500? +

Not your Square plan, not the phone, and not a weekly reminder copy. Deposits, refunds, and cancellations wait for your yes. A second system is still Desk. Chasing no-shows on a schedule is Workflow Automation at $3,500, a different job.
