QuickBooks overdue from Claude, $3,500, you own it

QuickBooks overdue from Claude is $3,500 once. You own the read-only list. Intuit's Claude connector already shows A/R aging. The chase is a different job.

QuickBooks already knows who is late. The report is under Who owes you. The question is whether you still have to open it, or whether you can ask from the AI app you already have open.

Short answer: QuickBooks overdue from Claude means you ask who is past 30 days and get the A/R aging list back, with QuickBooks still the record. AI Front Door Look Up is $3,500 once. You own the connection. I do not add a subscription. If Intuit’s Claude connector already answers that for you, do not buy. The same setup works in ChatGPT, Grok, and other AI apps that support MCP connectors.

MCP is the open standard those apps use to connect to a business’s tools. One connection to QuickBooks. Not a second set of books.

What is QuickBooks overdue from Claude?

QuickBooks overdue from Claude is a read of the accounts receivable aging report, filtered to invoices past 30 days. QuickBooks stays the record. The chat does not. Intuit’s own Claude connector already exposes that report. Look Up is the scoped version of the same question.

Intuit’s help says you run it from Reports, then Standard reports, then Who owes you, then Accounts receivable aging summary or detail (Intuit). Their payments article groups open invoices as Current, 1–30, 31–60, 61–90, and 91 or more days past due (Intuit). Past 30 is the last three buckets, not the 1–30 column.

Anthropic’s QuickBooks connector lists qbo_accounting_get_ar_aging_summary and qbo_accounting_get_ar_aging_detail. The page also says you can see who owes you, and that invoice sends wait for a preview and your confirmation. That connector is for you, inside Claude. It is not a staff login that hides the rest of the ledger.

The fork against a leftover chat bot is MCP vs chat bots. A bot that pastes yesterday’s export is not this.

Questions this should answer once it is live:

  • “Who owes me money over 30 days?”
  • “Which invoices are in the 31–60 bucket this morning?”
  • “What is the total past 30, and which customer is the largest?”
  • “Show open invoices for Lopez Plumbing only.”
  • “Which of those got a payment today that the aging report might still be showing?”

How much does QuickBooks overdue from Claude cost?

Look Up is $3,500 once for one system, read-only. Desk is $7,500 once if a customer should see only their balance. Floor is $14,000 once when the crew shares it. Thirty-six months later my bill is still that number. Your QuickBooks subscription stays yours.

Do not buy Floor because a menu had three rows. Desk is two systems, QuickBooks plus the job board or the calendar, so a customer can ask what they owe and you can match it to a job. Look Up is the owner question only.

What does the overdue question workflow look like?

The trigger is an owner or a tech asking who is past 30. The action is a read of aging detail, filtered to 31 days and older. QuickBooks is the record. A dispute, a write-off, or a reminder that should actually go out waits for a person.

  1. Trigger. “Who owes me money over 30 days?” The same sentence works from ChatGPT or Grok.
  2. Action. Read aging detail. Drop Current and 1–30. Return customer, invoice, due date, bucket, and open amount. Week one, I show the draft next to the report. You check it.
  3. System of record. QuickBooks. Not the chat transcript, and not a sheet copied on Monday.
  4. Human escalation. A balance that does not match the balance sheet. A disputed invoice. A write-off. Anything that sends, voids, or records a payment.

Intuit also warns that aging, the balance sheet, and the trial balance can disagree when the aging method is still on Current instead of the report date (Intuit). I will not treat a mismatched total as an answer.

Sending the reminder on a schedule, without you sitting in the thread, is Workflow Automation. That is $3,500 once for the one named chase, live in 7 to 10 days. It does not answer a customer from an AI app. If the hole is the phone, that is the receptionist at $8,000 once, not this list.

What would I turn on first?

Start read-only, and only the past-30 list. Do not turn on create-invoice, send, or payment links. If the official connector already returns the same names and amounts, stop there and do not pay for a second copy.

Checklist before I take the build:

  • QuickBooks Online is the live file, and an admin connects it. I do not want a password pasted into a chat.
  • “Past 30” is written down: 31–60, 61–90, and 91+. Not “whoever feels late.”
  • Aging on the report date matches Accounts Receivable on an accrual balance sheet for one morning you pick.
  • Staff who may ask are named. Everyone else does not get the connector.
  • Sends, write-offs, and new invoices stay off.

First lane: “Who is past 30, what do they owe, and which invoice is the oldest?” You click. After ten mornings where the list matches the report, we stop.

When this isn’t the right move yet

Skip it if Claude’s QuickBooks connector already answers the question, if the aging report does not match the balance sheet, or if the leak is the reminder, the phone, or a customer who should pay. A second login on bad books copies the wrong total.

Wait if:

  • You are the only person asking, and you already sit in Claude. Connect Intuit’s connector and ask. $0.
  • The aging total and the balance sheet disagree. Fix the method before anyone automates the read.
  • The real job is the Friday reminder that never goes out. That is the chase, not the question.
  • A stranger should pay a deposit from the thread. That is Desk, and Stripe or your checkout is the record. This list does not charge a card.
  • After-hours rings are the leak. The list will not pick up.
  • You want the model to write off a balance or send a demand with no click.

What is not included in the $3,500?

The $3,500 does not include the reminder, a customer payment, the phone line, a bookkeeper, or a security review. Look Up is one system, read-only. QuickBooks’ subscription stays yours.

Desk is $7,500 once when a customer may see only their own open invoices. Floor is $14,000 once when the crew and the public share the doorway and should not share your QuickBooks login. A web app security review is $2,400, and $1,200 starts it. I do not put exploit steps in a PDF.

Name who may ask, and which writes stay off. Send the short audit. It is a short form. I reply with the replacement map within 24 hours. Look Up is $3,500 once if the past-30 list is the whole job. If you would rather talk through the workflow and whether it fits, book a 20-minute call.

FAQ

How much is QuickBooks overdue from Claude? +

Look Up is $3,500 once for a read-only past-30 list from QuickBooks. You own it. I do not add a subscription. Desk is $7,500 once if a customer should see only their own balance. Floor is $14,000 once when staff share it. Sending the reminder is a separate $3,500 job.

Does Intuit's Claude connector already show who is overdue? +

Yes for the owner inside Claude. Anthropic's QuickBooks connector lists A/R aging summary and detail, so you can ask who owes you. If that answer is enough, do not pay me. Look Up is for a scoped past-30 question from Claude, ChatGPT, or Grok without handing over the whole ledger.

Is the overdue list the same as chasing the invoice? +

No. The list is a question against QuickBooks. The chase is a reminder that goes out on a schedule in the tools you already pay for. That chase is Workflow Automation at $3,500 once, live in 7 to 10 days. Look Up does not send the email.

What is not included in the $3,500? +

Not the reminder, not a customer payment, not the phone, and not a security review. QuickBooks stays your subscription. Write-offs, refunds, and new invoices stay a human click. A second system, such as Jobber plus QuickBooks, is Desk at $7,500, not Look Up.
