QuickBooks unbilled time from Claude is $3,500 once. You own the read-only list. No subscription. I do not create the invoice. QuickBooks stays yours.

QuickBooks already has the hours. They are marked billable. They are not on an invoice. The report is Unbilled time. The question is whether you still open it, or ask it from the AI app you already have open.
Short answer: QuickBooks unbilled time from Claude means you ask which billable hours are still not on an invoice and get that list back, with QuickBooks still the record. AI Front Door Look Up is $3,500 once. You own the connection. I do not add a subscription, and I do not create the invoice. The same setup works in ChatGPT, Grok, and other AI apps that support MCP connectors.
MCP is the open standard those apps use to connect to a business’s tools. One connection to QuickBooks. Not a second timesheet.
What is QuickBooks unbilled time from Claude?
QuickBooks unbilled time from Claude is a read of billable time activities that are not on an invoice yet. QuickBooks stays the record. The chat does not. Intuit’s published Claude connector lists invoices and aging. It does not list an unbilled-time tool.
Intuit’s time tracking article says you turn on a billable flag and a rate per hour, then run Unbilled time from Time, then Overview. Time tracking is on Essentials, Plus, and Advanced. It is not available if QuickBooks Workforce Payroll is attached.
Unbilled Time and Uninvoiced time are listed for Plus. Advanced can run every report on that page. Unbilled Charges, time mixed with expenses, is listed for Essentials and Plus (Intuit’s report list, updated August 10, 2026).
Claude’s QuickBooks connector publishes profit and loss, the balance sheet, A/R aging, and invoice tools. That list has no unbilled-time read and no time-activity read. Pasting the report into a chat is free. A leftover bot that pastes yesterday’s export is a different product: MCP vs chat bots.
Questions this should answer once it is live:
- “Which time entries are still unbilled?”
- “Which customers have billable hours and no invoice this week?”
- “How many unbilled hours does Lopez have, and what rate is on them?”
- “Who logged billable time yesterday that is not on an invoice?”
- “Show unbilled time older than 14 days, customer and hours only.”
How much does QuickBooks unbilled time from Claude cost?
Look Up is $3,500 once for one QuickBooks company, read-only. Desk is $7,500 once if that doorway should create the invoice. Floor is $14,000 once when the crew shares it. Thirty-six months later my bill is still $3,500. Your QuickBooks subscription stays yours.

| Where it lives | Plus for that standard report | Essentials, Plus, and Advanced | Your QuickBooks company |
| Price to me | $0 | $0 | $3,500 once |
| 36 months to me | $0 | $0 | $3,500 |
Intuit’s pricing page lists Essentials at $85 a month and Plus at $140 a month, with intro prices of $42.50 and $70. The plan pages call that intro 50% off for three months. What does the unbilled-time question look like?
The trigger is an owner or the office asking which hours are still unbilled. The action is a read of billable time with no invoice. QuickBooks is the record. Creating the invoice, changing a rate, or dropping a line waits for a person.
- Trigger. “Which time entries are still unbilled?” The same sentence works from ChatGPT or Grok.
- Action. Read time activities marked billable that are not on an invoice. Return customer, worker, date, hours, service, and the rate QuickBooks stored. Week one, I put the draft next to Unbilled time.
- System of record. QuickBooks. Not the chat, and not a Monday sheet.
- Human escalation. A rate that looks wrong. Hours on a flat-fee job. A closed accounting period. Anything that creates, sends, or voids an invoice.
Intuit’s automatic invoice article says Essentials, Plus, and Advanced can turn on Automatically invoice unbilled activity. QuickBooks creates those invoices on the night of the date you set. If that switch already makes the invoices you would have made, stop. Do not pay me to ask a question the night job already closed.
Invoices already sent, and past 30 days, are a different list: QuickBooks overdue from Claude. The reminder on a schedule is Workflow Automation at $3,500 once, live in 7 to 10 days. That chase runs in your tools. It does not answer this from a chat app.
What would I turn on first?
Start read-only, and only time that is billable and not on an invoice. Do not turn on create, send, or payment links. If you already open Unbilled time and you are the only person asking, do not pay for a second copy.
Checklist before I take the build:
- Time tracking is on, and an admin connects QuickBooks. I do not want a password pasted into a chat.
- “Unbilled” is written down: billable, not yet on an invoice. Not hours that merely feel unfinished.
- One morning, the list I draft matches Unbilled time for the same dates.
- Staff who may ask are named. Everyone else does not get the connector.
- Create, send, and rate changes stay off.
First lane: which customers have unbilled hours, how many, and how old the oldest line is. You click. After ten mornings where the list matches the report, I stop.
When this isn’t the right move yet
Skip it if the automatic invoice switch already does the job, if you are the only person who opens the report, or if the leak is the reminder, the phone, or a customer who should pay. Hours never marked billable come back as an empty list.
Wait if:
- Time tracking is off, or Workforce Payroll is attached and Intuit says time tracking is not available. There is nothing to read.
- You already run Unbilled time, and you are the only person who needs it.
- Settings, then Advanced, then Automation, already creates the invoices on the night you picked.
- The real question is who owes you on invoices already sent.
- You want the invoice created from the thread. That is Desk at $7,500 once, after the read matches. Look Up does not click Add.
- The leak is the phone. The receptionist is $8,000 once. The live demo line is +1 (832) 861-0469.
- You want a web app reviewed. That is $2,400 per app, and $1,200 starts it.
What is not included in the $3,500?
The $3,500 does not create the invoice, send it, change a rate, run payroll, or replace QuickBooks. Look Up is one company, read-only. Jobber plus QuickBooks is Desk at $7,500. Floor is $14,000 when the crew shares the doorway.
Name who may ask, and which writes stay off. Send the short audit. It is a short form. I reply with the replacement map within 24 hours. Look Up is $3,500 once if the unbilled list is the whole job. If you would rather talk through the workflow and whether it fits, book a 20-minute call.
FAQ
How much is QuickBooks unbilled time from Claude? +
Look Up is $3,500 once for a read-only list of QuickBooks time that is billable and not yet on an invoice. You own the connection. I do not add a subscription. Desk is $7,500 once if the same doorway should create the invoice. Floor is $14,000 once when the crew shares it. I do not send the invoice.
Does Intuit's Claude connector already show unbilled time? +
Not on the tool list I checked. That connector publishes aging, invoices, and profit and loss. It does not publish an unbilled-time or time-activity read. You can still open Unbilled time in QuickBooks, or paste that report into a chat, for $0. Look Up is the scoped question from Claude, ChatGPT, or Grok.
Will this create the invoice from the unbilled hours? +
No. Look Up reads the list and stops. Intuit can already create those invoices on a night you set, under Advanced settings, on Essentials, Plus, and Advanced. Creating one from the chat is a write. That is Desk at $7,500 once if I scope it. Sending a past-due reminder is a separate $3,500 job.
What is not included for $3,500? +
Not the invoice, not a rate change, not payroll, and not a security review of your app. QuickBooks stays your subscription. Hours that were never marked billable stay off the list. A second system, such as Jobber plus QuickBooks, is Desk at $7,500, not Look Up.
